ATTENTION ALL READERS...

...who are interested in participating. Upon reading a friend's blog today I came across a post that included the author's favorite things to do and her request for her readers to comment with similar lists. Therefore, I devised a plan to make us all more interactive so we can get to know each other better. The plan is this. We (the older Hubies) will list personally the top three "little" things in life that aggrevate us the most and request that you do the same. Hopefully we will all learn to avoid being around each other when these things occur! Here goes our lists...

Rick:
1. Being late (tardiness)
2. Disorderliness
3. Running out of hot water

Joni:
1. Going to bed alone
2. Loads of clothes left in the washer overnight
3. Over-stuffed drawers

Nikkae:
1. Losing things
2. My bank
3. Not enough time

Katherine:
1. Double creases (on dress shirts and pants)
2. Having to share Christian Valor
3. Too many unrealistic ideas voiced by others

Brandon:
1. Being falsely accused
2. Noisy gum chewers
3. Micro-management

Anthony:
1. Adolescent allergy hackers
2. Roosters that think their "big stuff"
3. Messy toothpaste tubes

Thank you for your participation :)

Breaking the "Five Rule"

We finally convinced Brandon to let us break his five pic rule on our blog. So here are MANY photos from the last month that we hope our readers will enjoy :) Many of the pictures below were taken during the time we had with our Illinois friends, the Erber family. We enjoyed the fellowship with our dear brothers and sisters in Christ and look forward to their next trip to Texas!

Due to slight problems with our digital camera, we are unable to post pictures quickly. Film photography is still the favorite way of capturing the moment with some of us however, in the blogging world, there is nothing like the digital method :) This being the case, the pictures of our latest birthday celebrations and our trip to Alabama will be here in the near future...thank you for your patience.

With all that said, sit back, relax and enjoy some of the Huber family happenings!

Memories

Finally, here are the promised photos from our Califonia trip last week. The first one is of a hike we enjoyed with the Parish "kids". Left to Right...
Jeremy, Max, Kendra (Daniel's wife), Daniel, Kaylianna, Simon, Sally and Katherine.
The rest were taken at the beach with the exception of Jeremy reading to Kaylianna.

ENJOY :)

Home Again...and then Away!

Katherine, Kaylianna and I made it home safe and sound last Friday afternoon after our relaxing trip to California. The next morning Jonathan and I packed up and flew out to Alabama while passing Brandon and Anthony in the air on their way home from that very state. Wow, though not yet considered WORLD travelers (maybe next year) we sure are moving about. Everyone is looking forward to being together next week after running to and fro but the time away has been good to think and reflect on the Lord and His marvelous doings in our lives and in the lives of those around us. Hopefully I will learn how to post pictures (or better yet, get Brandon to do it) so our readers can have some visual aids.

Congratulations to "Ultra Christians"

I just wanted to drop a short note to congratulate all the "Ultra Christians" out there for receiving some media attention on the radio the other day. The radio personalities were somewhat disturbed that people would participate in "dry" weddings where no one has the possibility of getting drunk. How ridiculous can that be? The discussion then addressed the "absurdity" of reserving ones first kiss for their wedding day. "Whatever
happened to trying out the car before you buy it?"
I have to ask myself the question,"Are these comments worth addressing?" Maybe a short comment is in order. We "Ultra Christians" as you have labeled us don't seek to obtain our "good times" by making ourselves drunk and acting like fools, nor do we compare entering into a covenant of marriage with purchasing a car. If we do things God's way we don't have to worry about the "kiss" being good. God will bless us way beyond our feeble comprehension.
Keep up the good work all you "Ultra Christians"! Some of your strange ideas will soon again be making the airwaves. Stay tuned.

Travel Bug

Our family has experienced a simple case of subtraction this week. Five of us are in different parts of the country visiting friends and family. Katherine, Kaylianna and I are enjoying the wonderful hospitality of the Parish family as we bask in the sun of California, while Brandon and Anthony have made it safe and sound to Alabama to help out our uncle who is recovering from back surgery. It is great to fellowship with those you love, but as the old saying goes, "there's no place like home". God has indeed blessed the Huber children with a wonderful home to be a part of and we are grateful to our Dad and Mom for making it a joy to be there. The memories are endless and the love is ever flowing. May the Lord grant that we might someday have homes like the one we were brought up in!

Nikkae for all

P.S. Lord willing, we will have pictures up upon our return :)
