Congratulations to "Ultra Christians"

I just wanted to drop a short note to congratulate all the "Ultra Christians" out there for receiving some media attention on the radio the other day. The radio personalities were somewhat disturbed that people would participate in "dry" weddings where no one has the possibility of getting drunk. How ridiculous can that be? The discussion then addressed the "absurdity" of reserving ones first kiss for their wedding day. "Whatever
happened to trying out the car before you buy it?"
I have to ask myself the question,"Are these comments worth addressing?" Maybe a short comment is in order. We "Ultra Christians" as you have labeled us don't seek to obtain our "good times" by making ourselves drunk and acting like fools, nor do we compare entering into a covenant of marriage with purchasing a car. If we do things God's way we don't have to worry about the "kiss" being good. God will bless us way beyond our feeble comprehension.
Keep up the good work all you "Ultra Christians"! Some of your strange ideas will soon again be making the airwaves. Stay tuned.

Rick Huber

    Mr. Huber:
Thanks for your short, but sharp, comments. What wonderful encouragement to lift our eyes and see the vision of blessing that our good Lord wants to share.

I guess the radio personalities don't understand that being called an "Ultra Christian" is a compliment to any serious follower of Jesus Christ!
When we put the "kiss" before the covenant, and try to justify it by comparing it to trying out a machine, something is drastically wrong. Unfortunately, that is not overstating our culture at all. In a world such as ours, may we always be known as "Ultra" Christians!

    Rick,
Us altra Christians must be strange people to think as we do. Those "pinheads" will never understand. So we must continue to walk the walk and be the salt.
