A Happy "belated" Birthday Nikkae!

Yes, indeed we are a little bit late on a birthday post ... but not for long. We definitely couldn't skip out on our "faithful blog writer's" birthday. Last week on July 29, Nikkae Marie turned the ripe old age of 23 :) I don't know where to begin except to say what a joy she has been to me as a sister and to the whole family. She is definitely a ray of sunshine daily and keeps the family focusing on the beauty of every moment or as she puts it "find the wonderful in today". Just to give you a glimpse of what keeps this young lady busy let me give you a brief overview of her "job description". I truly don't think she has ever complained of being bored :)

Nikkae is our:

Music teacher, music director, music coordinator, ensemble coach, food coordinator, shopper, school teacher to Jonathan and Kristalyn, potty training coach to Christian, story teller and book reader to Kristalyn, Brenton, Benjamin, Kaylianna and Christian, teaches all of us to love and enjoy history and literature, party coordinator and activities director, missions coordinator, church and family secretary (shared with me) a team member of the laundry, dish, and bathroom brigade, an awesome chef (creates out of practically nothing), English Country dance instructor,encourager to all (especially the young men of our family) family photographer, blog writer and gmail "CHATTER", and Mom's and my best friend. Of course those of you from a large family know that there is so many more miscellaneous things that were not mentioned just in day to day life.


Nikkae, I am truly blessed by your sweet and honest friendship. Thank you for being a ray of sunshine in my life. It's been wonderful to look up to you as a great example. Thanks for leading the way. :) You have been a special gift from the Lord. May you find wonderful fulfillment this year as you continue to serve God and others. I love you Nikkae, and thanks for being you.
