Alas our house is empty... Well, let me define my terms. We no longer have the pleasure of hosting our dear friends the Erber, N. DeLadurantey, Zes, and Linton families, Brett and Alex Harris, Hosea Hornaman and Jamie Billings. We said our final farewells today to the last of our company and find it a bit strange not to be going to bed late, doing mass cooking and mountains of laundry. Dancing, acting, laughing, watching movies and slide shows, playing volleyball, taking oil of oregano as a group and watching everyone's reaction, fixing costumes, and much more!!! What amazing memories were made over the past ten days. The Lord has enriched our lives by giving us the sweet friendship and unfailing love of such wonderful people. We have tasted a bit of Heaven around here lately and will always be grateful for the precious moments shared with these dear saints.
The English Country Dance/Ball went absolutely wonderfully! We strung lights in the rafters of the pavilion and danced until the stroke of midnight. A little crowd of those weary souls who made it to the end, then helped us clean up and followed us home where we enjoyed a very late or shall I say, early second dinner. We then watched a film from last years dance and reminisced about the delight and aching feet we experienced. Our late night guests departed around 1:30 A.M. and our party continued on until about 3:30 A.M. (with the exception of the little ones and those smart enough to find their way upstairs and on their pillows!)
A special thank-you to all those that helped make the last ten days run smoothly and to those that left us such thoughtful gifts upon their departure...It was truly a delight and a privilege to host our dear friends. We love you all!!! You might give
Brandon's blog a look if you are interested in more dance pictures.
You may be surprised, astonished, amazed, or bewildered at the fact that we actually have pictures up with this post. We hope you enjoy them and enjoy them some more...It may be a while before such a feat is accomplished again! Who knows?!
