Modern Day Knights
Didn't know they existed did you? Perhaps you thought about it and then decided, no way, not now days... Knights were way back...
I'm here to tell you that your doubts are unfounded and to simply say, they really do exist...I would know, because three of them live right under the same roof I do! No, they don't have the same shiny armor that the knights of long ago had but their armor is the padded kind that keeps them from any "breakage" of the bones.
Their helmets aren't metal but they are big and bulky with a helpful face "cage" around the front to prevent their faces from getting smashed! They also must protect their teeth from being "knocked out" by slipping a nifty mouth guard in before the "fight".
That's not all folks, their shoes... With little spikes aid them in "holding their ground". There are no "fair maidens" to rescue but there sure are plenty of them standing on the sidelines watching the fray and cheering their champions on to victory.
Yes, the battles these knights must face are treacherous. Imagine having an item that half a dozen other "knights" wish to possess... My modern day Knights can run faster than a speeding bullet, so who needs horses?!
I am proud of my hero knights... They are so strong, bold and handsome. So fearless in the midst of the fray. I am proud to cheer them on to victory and am glad to see them fight their hardest no matter the outcome. All three of these brave Knights have won victories on the field of battle experiencing the satisfaction of defeating an "enemy".
What sort of "WAR" do these "knights" wage? FOOTBALL! Come see them "fight" sometime, it is a glorious event to behold!
I mustn't fail to mention some other important figures. Dad and Katherine record all the stats for both teams and Brenton and Benjamin do a mighty fine job at keeping the "Knights" hydrated! (Look for the following numbers in the pics...Brandon #3, Anthony #22 and Jonathan #2.)
Enjoy! Because as I always say, you never know when another post will come.

Very Nice Post! I like the writing.
Hey boys... maybe all those hours spent in the backyard playing football with your older brother and cousins is finally paying off.

Actually, as a fellow romantic, I believe wholeheartedly in modern day knights! :-) But it is getting rare to spot them. Great post Kae, it brings back good memories.
Miss you!!!

Sally Sue? Is that your under-cover name? I knew it had to be you when you described yourself as a "fellow romantic". Miss you too!
