Travel

Though our travels have not taken us across the world, we have been here there and everywhere this past month. May 9-16 I spent a refreshing week with the Zes family. My time there was encouraging, relaxing and just plain FUN. I feel blessed to have three extra sisters who are so sweet and some of the best friends one could ask for :) Thank you Mr. and Mrs. Zes for letting me come and making me feel so much at home!
I went to my first ever Cardinals baseball game (they won!) and we went "camping" for a weekend with Zes' church family. The camping trip was all but rugged, we were put up in pleasant little cabin that was more like a hotel room. We enjoyed a couple camp fires and some trail walks. One of my favorite memories from the week was sitting on the couch every night chatting with a bowl of ice cream...The ice cream being the chief item of pleasure :) No really, I couldn't ask for more caring and loving friends who answered all my questions, listened to all my troubles and advised me from their hearts...For your love I will be eternally grateful ladies!

I was home for one day before heading out with Katherine for a three week adventure in Alabama. There was some major campaign work going on with three godly men running for seats on the Alabama Supreme Court and another running for Chief Justice while yet another was running for Governor of the State. Five State wide races at once! Wow, these men were dedicated to their Lord and wanted to be used in the area of government in Alabama. I'm proud of them although I only met one, and pray that though their races weren't successful in man's eyes, that they will continue the fight for the future. It's men like these that are setting the ground work for us young people and our futures! Thank you Justice Roy Moore, Justice Tom Parker, Colonel Hank Fowler, Judge Ben Hand and Mr. Alan Zeigler!

Katherine and I spent most of our time with the Linton family. Some of the joys of our time in Alabama was getting to meet new friends, getting to know old ones better, dancing at a Southern Heritage event and playing oodles of Boggle (a game I am horrible at just for the record). Thanks for all the memories, Mr. and Mrs. Linton, Alex and Brett, Matt, Matthew, the Bryan family, Nick, Hosea, The Parker family, The Sander family, the Ford family, the Nathan DeLadurantey family, Jessica, the resounding voice crew, Brian, Angel, Justin, Sandra Bell, and so many others. We can't thank you enough for the hours of fun and hard working memories. May the future allow for us to get to know each other better...Stay in touch!

That's it in a nutshell. We hope you enjoy the photos below. I know it's way past time for a new post but you know how posting film pics goes...Lots more work. That is the only time I wish we had a digital camera (don't get too disappointed about that statement Josh W., Joel and Grahm Fisher :) Have a great night everyone!

I must not take the full credit for this post (or any post for that matter). A BIG "thanks" must be given to Brandon and Katherine for doing the picture part. I of course am still "in the dark" on how to post pictures, so it's not me giving you the pleasure of the smiling faces. I still say "someday" I'll learn.

It sounds like you both had a very nice time! I am sure your family is glad to have you back after you have been gone for so long.
Thank you for the update Nikkae, Katherine and Brandon, I enjoyed seeing the pictures and reading about what has been kepping you busy this past month.
    Love and miss ya'll!

    Welcome home, girls!!

You are so kind, Kae, but the pleasure was all ours to have you here, and something I think we should make a regular habit! What a joy to have such a dear friend with whom we can pray, share our hearts, joke, and have such a grand time. My favorite memories are those long walks and that night we almost died laughing talking about you know what... :) It seems the best (or at least the most interesting) conversations always occur late at night! Besides, who else can you quote so many "Anne" lines with, and only the truest friends can live together and love each other still. Thank you for coming and thank you to all the Hubers for sharing her with her sisters!!

    ~lots of love from me.

p.s. Next time it will be "love dreams" with the ice cream if we can find a recipe for those. :)

It looks like you had pretty good seating at the Cards game.

What? Am I getting the idea that you payed for a ticket to go to a card game?

    That's inconceivable!

    :)

Did your family go to Mark and Amy's wedding? If so can we have some pictures?

G.A.: None of us were able to attend Mark and Amy's wedding much to our disappointment! We are on the look out for photos just like you but it appears that no one is posting any. BTW, who am I addressing? Let us know if you have any finds in the blogsphere.

Where has the Huber family gone? No updates... Never on chat.

    Mysterious.

I know your life is busier than your blog reveals, Hubers. :-) Perhaps too busy to post? I know how that goes . . .

    Thinking of you!

It's been a while since I have been online, I just popped in to say hello. I see you posted some pictures from your visit here in Missouri! Still planning to take you up on that invite in the future!

Oh, by the way, we have a new blog...or I should say...I have a new blog.
