Laundry
Some folks have scheduled times to do their laundry and some rarely need do it at all. Then there are others that must do it for the better portion of EVERYDAY! The latter is the case in the Huber household and so the consequences of our washing machine breaking down is well, CATASTROPHIC!!! The last load we put through our machine was done on Saturday and since then it has been out of commission. The result, three and a half hours spent at the laundry mat today :) Oh, don't worry, we weren't bored. There are all sorts of interesting people that spend their days at the laundry mat so we had a grand time observing. We used up five mega washers and two small ones and then had the loads running in eight dryers...All at once, how cool! The folding counter was a bit too small for our amount of piles so we folded, loaded a basket, folded some more, loaded a basket, then...You get the picture :)
Lesson for the day, every item of clothing folded reminds me of a precious life that has added sunshine to our family. With this in mind, I hope to continue folding mounds of material for the rest of my life!
Nikkae for the family :)

Hey, I'll bet you guys set a new "most laundry machines used for one family at one time" record! Did you ask for a special discount? ;)
Okay, in all seriousness, it *is* so refreshing to count your blessings one by one. Thanks for your testimony, Kae. :)

Good idea about asking for a discount. One problem though, there was no "front desk person" to even appreciate all the business we gave today! Oh well, it's just money :)

After witnessing firsthand the amount of laundry you Hubers wash in a single day I can just picture all of it stuffed in your van :) Our washing machine went kaput, too, and after surviving more than a week without it I am so grateful for a new one!
(Miss you LOTS, Kae!)

Laundromats definitely have their own unique culture! We've never had to use one around here, but with all our traveling we've had to stop at a couple of them on the east coast... :) My problem is that I'm not patient enough to sit and wait for the driers to finish and ended up taking things back to the hotel room still damp and had to drape them all over the beds, chairs, hangers, etc! It sure made me grateful that we can usually take care of laundry at home.
Say, it was nice seeing a couple of your guys up here yesterday, but wish you all could have made it up!
