We're Back...To Blogging

First of all, a big "Thank you" to all our faithful readers who haven't given up on us yet!

Here's an update...Hang on to your hats!

We have had two birthdays this year so far, Mom's on January 6th and Brandon's on February 6th. We are blessed beyond words to have two of the best people on the planet living in our own home!

Let's see, another piece of news would be that our farm has some new additions... a baby calf born a couple weeks ago. We all had the learning experience of seeing it enter the world. Also, Anthony and Jonathan have hatched two batches of chicks in the past month. I sometimes wonder how such cute little things can grow up to be so ugly :)And then, the guys sold two litters of puppies! Anyway, lots of developing on the farm...learning...feeling really "behind" in what we would like to know but knowing that God is faithful and will supply us with the info we need at just the right time.

Another blessing has been the opportunity to take part in a developing music program that includes choir, violin classes and string orchestra. God has provided violins for Kristalyn, Brenton and Benjamin through this program and it's great that the the older ones get to be a part of an orchestra once again! And I have greatly enjoyed the opportunity to teach.

The month of March has many of us traveling to and from Alabama. Brandon and Anthony spent ten days working at Uncle Bob and Aunt Wendy's, affording them the chance to make some money and get a little vacation time too! Katherine leaves tomorrow to help out with their new baby that was born last week safe and sound. I head out at the end of the month to finish up where Kath left off.

Little Justin is growing ever so quickly and is every one's delight. He has figured out how to grab things, sticks everything in his mouth and smiles almost constantly. He definitely looks like a Huber baby...Mostly like Brandon so far.

As many of you know, April sees me headed to the Dominican Republic...I can't believe it! This trip is an answer to prayer...a prayer I've had for about fourteen years! If you haven't received an e-mail about it and would like to, leave a comment with your e-mail address and I will be happy to send you one :)

Nathan's wedding is fast approaching (May 26th) which means lots of planning and sewing. Right now the project Katherine is busy on is dresses for the younger girls (Kristalyn is going to be a junior bridesmaid and Kaylianna a flower girl). Then of course there is the tux rentals for Brandon (groomsmen) and Benjamin (ring bearer). Anthony is to be an usher and some of us are going to play music...Not exactly going to be a relaxing day...exciting is more the word I guess! I am still mourning the loss of Nathan's library (which was packed up and moved to his new apartment last week). Somehow, one of his books managed to be forgotten in my closet :)

Brandon is going to be starting work on his degree...not sure what it's going to be yet but it ought to keep him busy enough because he's still finishing high school work too. Might as well "kill two birds with one stone". Please keep him in your prayers as he seeks the Lord's will for his future.

Illness has made it's way around our house and still lingers in the form of colds. Some of us were fortunate enough not to get it but most had to endure the discomfort.

Our latest Huge blessing is the gift of a couch, coffee table and end table for our family room. A garage sale was being held down the road from us and of course, Mom couldn't resist the urge to find some good deals. She found a few little things and admired a lovely couch on the way out. Though it would be a blessing, she knew our money had more pressing needs to take care of so she passed it by. The next day, she and Dad had to return to pick up the items she bought and the owners said to take anything we needed or wanted...For FREE! They went on to say that "anything" meant the couch too! After helping deliver it to our house, they said our family room needed more furniture to go with the new couch...how about a coffee table and end table? they suggested. Once again we were in shock as they gave us those two beautiful wooden items that matched the room perfectly and all without charge. So, next time you think God doesn't care, or that He can't provide, don't hesitate to dream big and ask Him anyway!
Well, there you have it. Sorry about the unorganized update but at least you know we still exist...And what we're up to!
