Our Trip

At last, I am fulfilling my promise to post pictures of our trip. The first weekend of February found Nathan, Katherine, Brandon and myself on the road to Bristol TN. We were on our way to attend Micah and Emma Valine's wedding. Nathan and Josh G.were groomsmen and because we love Micah and thought an entire weekend of fellowship would be refreshing, the rest of us decided to tag along. On the way up, we stopped in Nashville to eat dinner with our Aunt and Uncle, Mark and Linda Blanco.

We all met the bride for the first time the day before the wedding and she luckily "passed our approval". It is quite interesting to have your friend marry someone you don't know! Emma is great and we felt privileged to be a part of such a glorious event. Our prayers are now with them as they embark on a new and exciting path together!

The few days we had together were filled with touring, taking lots of pictures, playing numerous games of Nerts in the hotel breakfast room, and asking for more and more keys from the front desk. We ate at some neat places and spent many hours in the car either sleeping, watching movies, or talking on some deep and not so deep issues (some of us believe we solved the world's problems). Did we sleep? You answer that one...Would you have? A special thanks to our drivers, Nathan, Josh G. Noelle and Josh W. And to Myles for being a trooper throughout so many hours in a car seat.

P.S. The list of fellow travelers and wonderful friends include:
Josh, Noelle and Myles Goforth, Joel and Graham Fisher and Josh W.
Thanks guys for the wonderful time... We will always remember it with fondness :)

LOVE

"Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. On these two commandments hang the law and the prophets." Matthew 22:37-40

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY EVERYONE!

Did you tell someone how much you loved them today? Expressing love either with a smile or an act of kindness always brightens the the life of the one receiving!

New Arrival!

Baby Nathan Valor was born Monday afternoon after 23 weeks in the womb and weighing only 1lb. 7oz. He is the firstborn of Brian and Katherine Jackson, a precious couple who attend our Church. After almost two weeks of bed rest in the hospital, Kathy delivered this tiny bundle into the world. We are asking for an army of prayer warriors to join us in lifting up this family to the Lord. Please join us as we pray for the safety of Nathan and that his daddy and mommy will sense the presence of God at this time of testing. We have been blessed to see Brian and Kathy trust in the Lord through all this, but they need our support and prayers as their entire world has been turned upside down emotionally, physically and financially! God is ultimately in control and we rejoice that He knows all and is in all.

(In the picture below, Brian's wedding band is by Nathan's foot to show how little he is.)

Be-lated Celebration

This week has marked a glorious event in the Huber household. Monday, February 6 Brandon turned the ripe old age of sixteen! We haven't yet celebrated the event due to the fact that four of us (including Brandon) were traveling home from Tennessee that day. It was, however, a relaxing day for Brandon...Sitting around in the car for hours. We praise the Lord for the amazing years we have had with such a fine young man and are all blessed to witness him grow in stature and in faith.
Brandon, may you always seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness that we may see God's blessings pour out upon you. We love you and HAPPY BIRTHDAY :)

P.S. Pictures of our trip coming soon!
