SACFF has come to an end...for this year.

We made it! The SACFF is over and our entire clan is still alive. The weekend provided wonderful encouragement through the teaching of some incredible speakers. It was fun to watch the various films and we enjoyed seeing our movie, The Dumb Detective, on a large screen :) We managed to eat our meals picnic style outside the convention center and to feed many more than expected. It was great fun and the memories will be lasting! Lord willing, we will have some photos up soon but for now, it is Sunday morning and we must prepare for church. Have a blessed Lord's Day!

A Whirl

Tonight was the beginning of an abundance of activity for the next two weeks. Beauty rest will be unavailable not to mention the constant running to and fro in and out of town. The Erber family arrived safe and sound this evening and we are ecstatic to have their fellowship once more. Having them here brings back so many sweet memories of times gone by...It has been eight wonderful years since our friendship began :)
Here is a quick run down of our schedule starting tomorrow:

Sunday ~ Church at our house with the Erber and Schmidt families (the Erbers nearly double our normal attendance)
Monday ~ Attend and play our instruments at a funeral ~ Older children have choir practice ~ Film Academy begins
Tuesday ~ Younger children's choir practice ~
Wednesday ~ Food prep for the Festival ~ Finish cleaning/decorating parlor for English Country Dance ~
Thursday ~ The Nathan DeLadurantey and Jeremy Erber families arrive ~ Film Festival begins
Friday ~ Working at and attending Film Festival
Saturday ~ Working at and attending Film Festival
Sunday ~ Worshiping the Lord with various Churches combined
Monday ~ Erber and DeLadurantey families head back North :( ~ Zes family move in and teach us some more dances
Tuesday ~ Dressing and primping for the "Ball" ~ English Country Dance
Wednesday through ? ~ Zes family with us

That's it. There is no more...Other than the fact that we have lots of food to make, clothes to iron and Katherine is working on a couple costumes. We feel blessed to have the privilege of seeing and fellowshipping with various old friends and hope that we will be a blessing in some small way to those who have blessed our lives so very much! May the Name of our Holy Lord be praised with our every breath. Thank you for continuing to be patient with us as we neglect our blog so much...I will try to keep it up to date as much as possible in the coming weeks. Maybe even pictures. No one is allowed to hold me to that one, you know the excuse by now, so no guarantees :)

ALIVE!

Let me start by answering a few questions that might have entered our readers heads:

No, we are not dead, or in the process of dying.
No, we have not gone away to some far away place.
No, we are no more busy that we normally are at this time of year.
Yes, our computer and internet connection is working fine.

What then has kept us from keeping you up to date? Nothing in particular. Nothing extra exciting or out of the norm. We have just been doing what we normally do each day at the usual time in the usual way. OK, now we can start filling you in on the latest news that might be of some interest. Unfortunately, because I am still at the mercy of one of my siblings (who we will keep nameless to protect his/her reputation) to post photos, this will be a word only post. I know, perhaps I should learn to do it myself, and so I will...Someday!

We received a financial gift from our Uncle and Aunt to purchase a jersey cow. Thus our little farm grows one animal at a time. We have already been saving money by not needing to purchase milk and the health benefits are outstanding as well. Having a cow (her name is Ruby) is an answer to prayer that none of us imagined would come to pass so quickly and in such a way. What a blessing for us to behold the hand of the Lord in even the little things of life!

Next, Dad is endeavoring to plant a church in our area. So far it has been a small beginning but we have great hopes for the future. Our prayer is to glorify the Lord in every step we take and that we will be a help to the body of Christ at large as well as locally.

Nathan, Katherine and Brandon, set out on a journey to Alabama to witness a political event. Former Justice Roy Moore is running for governor. They had the opportunity to hear him speak and had the chance to visit with our friends, the Linton family. They were also able to stay with our Uncle Bob, Aunt Wendy, and cousin Grayson for the week. The atmosphere was different around here. That same week, Dad took Anthony and Jonathan to work at a ranch three hours south of us, so the house was rather empty compared to normal. Everyone was sorely missed but cooking was a "piece of cake"!!!

We have entered some choir rehearsals into our schedule in the past few weeks as well. The four eldest of us have begun singing in a newly formed ensemble that is preparing a concert for the Christmas season. Our voice instructor is wonderful and we are immensely enjoying every bit of this learning experience. Anthony, Jonathan, Kristalyn and Brenton are a part of a home-school choir I am instructing. We also are preparing for the Christmas holiday season. Singing is such a delight and it is a glorious way to praise our King. May He look upon our efforts and be pleased with the results :)

I guess that's it for now, other than the fact that everyone continues to grow, Grow, GROW! Christian Valor is now six months old and as cute as a button. He can roll over, sit up and eat yogurt now! He continues to delight the Huber household as we enjoy his smiles and giggles and watch his sweet personality develop. Praise the Lord for children...They are the sweet aroma of our lives!

TTFN...1:00 A.M. is more than an appropriate time to get some sleep!
